Haul Choice Booklet

June 25, 2021
To all members using commercial crane haul.

There are 2 haul dates as we have had traditionally . Early Haul is one week before Thanksgiving weekend (Oct. 2nd) and Late Haul is two weeks after Thanksgiving (Oct. 23rd). We plan to have both cranes on one day at Early Haul including hauling all Mast Up boats.

The Haul Choice Booklet has been placed at the club. Please confirm your Haul choice, email address and cell number and note this confirmation under the CHANGES column heading with your initials and date. This is the definitive document that we will use for planning cradle layout and placement. (Sep. 24 & 26)

NOTE: CUT OFF DATE FOR CHANGES IS SEPTEMBER 6. THERE WILL BE NO CHANGES ACCEPTED AFTER THAT DATE.

There is space at the last page to add your boat and information if your boat is not on the list and you wish to haul on either date.

New members and MBSC Mentors should communicate with each other!

You may contact me with questions if you wish.

Bruce Baker

MBSC Covid Procedures starting June 30th

The Ontario Government has announced moving to Step 2 of the Roadmap to Reopen as of June 30th.

Most notably, the restriction of only members of the same household gathering on a boat has been removed.

The MBSC Code of Conduct remains in effect.

Note: These rules could change at any time with changes to, or clarification of, the Provincial mandates.

As a reminder:

  • No social gatherings of any size inside.
  • No more than 25 people if gathering outside.
  • Washroom protocols as per last summer.

Please make use of the following links, which can also be found on the Club’s home page.

Mast Crane Training Video

On Sunday, May 30th a training session was held to review all of the required safety and operational conditions for club members to use the mast stepping crane.  Attached is a video of that session for your reference and a refresher for those members who have been previously trained, or unable to attend the training.
