Midland Bay Sailing Club Sailing School 2025

Registration for Locals and Returning Sailors

Are you 9 years old or older?  Are you looking to learn something new this summer?  Why not learn to sail locally at the Midland Bay Sailing Club?  Build confidence, teamwork, skills and have FUN!  Our instructors are accredited through Ontario Sailing and programming is run in English.  Each session is two weeks long, Monday – Friday 9am-4pm.  Want to learn more?

Please note that ALL programs will be released as waitlist only. MBSC members will be given first priority.  Applications from locals (defined by the MBSC Club bylaws as living within 32km) and returning sailors will open January 15th.  During the application period, January 15th – 31st, all registrations from locals and returning sailors will be considered equally and are not time-stamped.  Successful applications will be sent an email with next steps for registration confirmation and payment.

MBSC is pleased once again to support local community sailing with spaces reserved and donated to the Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Rotary Auction.

Important information

Sessions:

Each session is 2 weeks long.  

Session 1 – June 30th – July 11th 2025 Offering CanSail 1/2

Session 2 – July 14th – July 25th 2025 Offering CanSail 1/2/3/4

Session 3 – July 28th – August 8th 2025 Offering CanSail 1/2/3/4

Session 4 – August 11th – August 22nd 2025 Offering CanSail 1/2/3/4

Fees: 

Fees for Sailing School 2025 will be $660

Payment: 

Payment will be accepted through e-transfer.  Payment plans of $330/$330 or full payment will be accepted based on request.  First payment due at time of confirmation.  Second payment due March 1st.

Priority Periods:

First Tier – MBSC Members – December 1-14 2025 (members can also register during Tier 2 and 3 without priority status)

Second Tier – Locals and returning sailors – January 15-31 2025 (locals and returning sailors can also register during Third Tier without priority status)

Third Tier – All others March 1 2025 onward 

How To Apply:

Complete the Google Form during your priority period.

MBSC reserves the right to change or cancel CanSail offerings based on applications and instructor availability.
